Food & Taste Awards

It’s been a really fast and amazing year in beekeeping. We entered our honey into a total of five (5) competitions this year.

The competitions were as follows;

1. The Guild of Fine Food – Great Taste Award in the UK whereby our Blossom Honey received a 1 Star award !
2. Blas na hEireann – Irish Taste Award whereby both our Blossom and Soft Set Honeys were shortlisted as finalists. In the end, our Soft Set Honey won Gold overall in the Honey category. An amazing result overal and we were thrilled to have had them both shortlisted as finalists in what was our first year entering the competition.
3. We are also Finalists in the Food Category of the Irish Times – Country Magazine – Irish Made Awards. The result of that will be end of October/November.
4. Finally, we have entered three (3) honeys (Blossom, Soft set and our Heather honey) in to the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards and were also entered into the Dunnes Stores Small Producer category also, but alas we were not selected as a Finalist in that category. The result of all three honeys being judged will be out sometime in November.
